Busy Doing Nothing

Being busy is considered a "social status" and we know how popular it is to have a status in today's society. We are inspired by the idea of bragging and complaining with others about how much we work or how much we have to do. But what are we actually busy doing?

We are busy filling every hour of our day but most of us are left with an empty feeling of accomplishing nothing worthwhile. We wear our busyness like a well-deserved medal of honor, when in reality it's something we collectively force one another to do.

It may not be a problem that's soluble through any social reform or self-help regimen; maybe it's just how things are. Saying we are busy leads to a form of affirmation, and has become the "new cool thing."

Wouldn't it be cool to be able to say "Hey, I'm not busy so let's hangout?" We need to quit letting this idea of 'being busy is success' run our lives. Instead, resist the urge to fill every waking hour with some sort of task and appointment. Remove the word "busy" from your vocabulary.

Are you "shook" from these words?

Use a word consistently and it might end up in the dictionary. Merriam-Webster Dictionary has recently added some new lingo in 2017.

If you thought the word "truther" was a word people used just because, well think again because it has made the dictionary. Thank you Drake and Josh for this word eleven years ago.

Another word people started saying was "ghost." No, not the spooky halloween noun but in a verb sense like "We had dinner plans and she ghosted on me."

And everyone's favorite word "photobomb" is now official. We have a become a generation of photobombers who seem to be on "fleek" or like to stay "lit."

While spellcheck still says these words are spelled incorrectly, Merriam-Webster Dictionary says they are legit words.

This is only the beginning of 2017, you have plenty of time to create some new slang and get it in the dictionary. What's your best word? Are you a savage?

Kandy K or B Ruby?

Every girl wants that perfect lipstick. The one that last longer, doesn't smudge and has great pigment. Who better to create something like this than a celebrity like Kylie Jenner.

Kylie created her Kylie Lip Kit so women could have long lasting lip wear just like her for only $29!

Some may say this price is high but the kit includes a lip liner and lip color. She originally created a few matte colors. Today, she has several types including some glosses for those who don't like the matte feel and metals for those who like the metallic look.

Kylie Lip Kit became the hot new thing but what happened when Lipsense by SceneGence hit the market?

Lipsense is valued at $25 dollar per lip color but you could get a starter kit for $55 which includes lipsense, gloss and oops remover!

The biggest difference in Kylie and Lipsense is that you can make one Lipsense color look different by using the glosses. There is a matte gloss to make it matte, a glossy gloss to make it shiny and some diamond glosses to add some glitter to your lips!

Lipsense and Kylie have similar colors, but which is more popular? Are you team Kylie or team Lipsense?
